Chickbook Creative / Weekly Mind Sweep

  1. Contemplation: Present. How are you spending your time today, and what is it costing you?

  2. Citation of the Week: No hacks. "If you added up all the time wasted searching for shortcuts and trying to cheat the process, the hard work could have already been done by now." James Clear

  3. Conversation Consideration: When someone gives you time, honor it.

  4. Check Your Reality: (Ask yourself hard questions.) What do you desire that maybe scares you a little?

Now, let’s sweep the brain…

Present. How are you spending your time today, and what is it costing you?

  1. Contemplation:

While it is essential to know your priorities, that alone cannot get you the results you want. It would help if you devoted TIME and ATTENTION to them as well.

How are you spending your time today?

Here is a map to executing your profitable priorities:

  • Know the first step you need to take towards your goal.

  • Set a specific time to take that first action.

  • Schedule that time when you are at top performance with your brain.

  • Be free from distractions.

  • Fully concentrate.

However, if you struggle with:

  • Knowing what your priority is.

  • Knowing what your first step towards your goal is.

  • Knowing how to optimize your performance.

  • Knowing what is causing distractions.

  • Learning the tools that can support your brain in concentration.

I'm your Chick.

2. Citation.

No hacks.

Hacks are temporary solutions to a problem. Take the time to evaluate the situation or process and correct it at the foundation.

If your business is struggling with time or profit, it may be time to improve your systems to execute more efficiently. But, doing that takes discipline, and we tend to underestimate the value of being disciplined.

Systems and routines will set you free, give you back your time, and set you back to the path of success.

Need support to brainstorm creative solutions for your life or business specifically?

When someone gives you time, honor it.

3. Conversation Consideration.

As entrepreneurs, our time is valuable.

(If you don't know what your time is worth, I highly recommend Kim Dawson's blog post about Charging for your services) #sassystrategist

When someone offers to give us some of their time, honor it.

  1. Be punctual. Which means, be early.

  2. Be prepared to cover your topics in the time allotted. Be mindful of your time and what is reasonable to cover in that time. What can you do to maximize it?

  3. Keep an eye on the time. If you are approaching the end and you haven't covered everything, it is up to you to bring the conversation to a close and consider putting the rest in another form of communication. EX: email, ask for another meeting, schedule a phone call, etc.

  4. Finish before the scheduled time end. Give the space for both parties to take a breath after a conversation, especially if it's online.

If you have a meeting coming up that could use support outlining…

What do you desire that maybe scares you a little?

4. Check your reality.

As we create our new normal, let's begin making choices from a place of possibility and commitment rather than fear.

Do you have fear or doubt about whether that is realistic? Is considering opportunity an obstacle?

Sometimes our internal chatter triggers survival mechanisms that lure you into self-doubt.

You can receive the gift support that provides you critical feedback on how to streamline or grow your business.

In 2022 it's time to make empowered choices.

You belong here. I can help.
