I called upon my community, and they answered.

Chickbook Creative Tour 2022

It takes a village.

My goal for the 2022 Chickbook Creative Tour was to get out in the world post-ish pandemic and build relationships with like-minded women. I was eager to learn what they were working on, listen to how they were feeling, and support them in any way I could.

I needed to bring awareness and dollars to local areas full of women running brick-and-mortar locations.

So, I called upon my community, and they answered.

In my travels, I've learned these women work hard daily in their communities, businesses, and lives and that attending a networking event that may or may not fulfill their needs can be challenging.

As entrepreneurs, we need a safe space. We want to share our mistakes and mishaps with other women and gain insight from their experiences. In addition, the experienced wish to give back to the newer generation of women possibly forced from the pandemic into new roles. From the outside, it's a beautiful thing to watch, really.

There were challenges for me along the way. The days are long, and the weeks and months are even longer in developing, planning, marketing, and executing events. Like being in business for yourself, it's not for the faint of heart. It takes hard work, dedication, time, and the, most precious of all, energy. I do not feel remorse or regret, but I feel ready to ease into the fall and learn how to collaborate on the other side of the fence. Surrender to not being the "leader."

Now, at the end of the 2022 Chickbook Creative Tour, I reflect on my experience.

  • I can still see women talking to each other and laughing.

  • A brick-and-mortar location collaborated with a service-based provider and supported each other along the way.

  • I've had phenomenal conversations that have deepened connections and built relationships that turned into friendships.

It's an acknowledgment that we are not alone on this entrepreneurial journey.

It takes a village.

We do what with love for these moments of connection, camaraderie, and support. In January 2020, I set out to build something. I feel good about what I've accomplished…so far.

Thank you for your help along the way. I couldn't have imagined the outpouring of support I received from each of you. In-person and virtually!

I hope you continue to join me on my journey. I have not ruled out another tour for 2023; I could be tempted by a collaboration you've been dreaming of. (You know how to reach me).

I value getting to know the whole person as a business owner and taking a holistic, human view of their needs. I meet you where you’re at and support you in getting to where you want to go.

I bring a multi-faceted approach to problem-solving and extensive knowledge of executive functioning, habit formation, and the neurodiverse and ADHD entrepreneur’s mind.

I see and understand the ADHD entrepreneur brain at work, and I'm passionate about supporting neurodivergent business owners in a way that lets them shine their light and bring their gifts to the world for all to see (and pay them for!).
