Now, let’s sweep the brain…

Hi, I'm progressive!

This weekend, I experienced my first eye exam since grade school. Goswick Eye Sudbury has been taking care of my twins for a few years, and with the previous experience, I did not even consider going to another eye doctor.

I brought my son, Ethan, for moral support, but the staff at Goswick provided a high-touch experience during every step of my journey.

From the internal eye exam to vision testing, I felt at ease.

Did you know that they can take an image of your eye without dilating them?! With all the imaging and testing completed, I learned progressive lenses would benefit me.

Wait, what? How can this be? I'm still 30, right?!

All kidding aside, they delivered the news with care and compassion that resulted in feeling calm and comfortable. They kindly reminded me that I was still growing, and when we grow, our eyes change. Although my son laughed, I recognized the intention of the delivery. It was evident that this staff knew how to make a person feel comfortable.

Dr. Goswick entered after the technician delivered the news and, with kindness and compassion, delivered the details of my growth, answering questions of a first-time eyeglass wearer and providing clear, understandable information. He also explained this is "forty" ism.

This isn't just customer service; this is relationship building.

This is the YOU + ME = 3

Customers are coming to you with their experiences, anxieties, and fears. You are coming to the table with the knowledge, experience, and product or results they need. It's up to you to show up and deliver.

And that third body requires mutual understanding.

When I pause to view my Goswick Eye experience from a Business consultant's perspective, I can recognize this as an example of an entrepreneur who is passionate about what they do. This team was intentionally chosen, thus allowing them to function in their genius zone.

Having a comfortable relationship with their staff and themselves reflects their intentional relationship with their vendors, community, and products. Additionally, I witnessed the attention to detail around each customer's experience while completing a sale.

I never once feel like I'm being "sold" to. On the contrary, I feel calm, supported, and encouraged.

Here's me in my new peepers!

This is my 40’s

If you feel you are "selling," I'd encourage you to look within.

  • What is your relationship with money?

  • Are you comfortable with what you have to offer?

  • Are you working at your zone of genius and getting the support you need?

If your customer feels like they are being "sold to"

  • they are not going to buy. [Period]

  • Even if they need to view their relationship with money, the fact remains that we invest in what we value.

  • Are you trying to will the market into wanting something you love, or are you offering solutions to others' needs?

Relationship is everywhere. It's THE most important thing in any business.

So how are you supporting the "US" in your relationships?

You belong here; I can help.
