Current Collaborations

Imagine what we could accomplish in our businesses and careers if we saw one another as sacred souls on a journey together, doing meaningful work.

Right now, the world feels as though it is tilting off its axis. All that is going on out there can feel overwhelming and anxiety-producing.

Add in the rush and busyness of the holiday season, and it can also feel overwhelming and anxiety-producing in your heart. The good news is you have way more potential for love, compassion, understanding, and intimacy, and it is high time you realize it!

What if there was a tool that could teach you how to stay open-hearted, present, and in loving compassion for yourself and everyone around you?

This workshop is for anyone interested in growing, changing, and learning a new way of life.

IN-Person & Online

Through October, I've had the opportunity to discuss community in a place I feel at home. Humans are designed to connect and find a place to gather and work together, especially as we head into a wintering season. I love fall in New England. The leaves are letting go and reminding me that doing so is a natural progression in life and business.

It's simple, but it's not easy.

With winter upon us, we can begin to slow our pace, reflect on the year, and plan a new calendar with a feeling of freshness. In theory, that sounds magical. And there can be value in doing just that. Then, there is the approach to cram as much energy into the end of the year as possible. (i.e., holiday shopping, anyone?) #NotMe

Instead, my motto is "everything in moderation."

I prefer a smoother ride: some work, some play, some rest. Instead of putting my foot on the gas pedal to "finish the year strong," I'd prefer keeping steady with a pace I can maintain all year long. For me, the calendar doesn't dictate the flow of my personal life, my business, or my community.

Continuous growth at a sustainable pace.

If you've attended Curated Conversations or a MindSweep Mapping session, you've heard my 1% Jamie-ism. I also use this technique at home with my children—no cramming, forcing, or asking for hustle. Instead, I ask that they give their highest available effort and strive for 1% growth each time.

When I think about using a process of continuous growth in life and in business, it includes these questions. I will share an example of how I have used this technique when reflecting on my community.

  • What's working? People feel safe, feel like they belong, and are supported.

  • What's not working? My tour. It drained my energy, and I was exhausted.

  • How can I improve what is working? Keep asking questions and honoring the feedback I receive.

  • How can I eliminate what is not working? LET IT GO! (cue the Frozen theme)

  • Why am I getting the results that I am? It comes from confidence and humility. I'm confident enough to try something outside the box, and I'm more than willing to fail (because I learn SO much!). I have the humility to understand when I take a wrong turn or misstep and take full accountability.

I invite you to reflect on these questions when you approach a metaphorical stop sign, detour, or a change in destination. It could be the 1% you need to decide which way to go. On the other hand, if something feels like you are hustling, exhausted, or overwhelmed to the point of quitting, there may be another way.

Running a business is challenging work. It requires your time, energy, and dedication. Remember, you can't will a market into wanting what you offer. Sometimes it requires your awareness of what is working and what isn't. Additionally, it involves examining your willingness to moderate your delivery of what the market wants.

Let's talk if I can provide you with an outside perspective on something you're feeling challenged by.

Oh, Hi! I’m Jamie Chapman

I’m a Small Business Consultant who recognizes you might do things a little bit differently, and I’m here for it. I help support small businesses in a wide variety of industries and have a special place in my heart for neurodiverse entrepreneurs and ADHD business owners.

If you find that you’re often dancing to the beat of a pen tapping against your desk instead of your own drum, I see you and get you. And I want you to keep on dancing.

I value getting to know the whole person as a business owner and taking a holistic, human view of their needs. I meet you where you’re at and support you in getting to where you want to go.

I love watching small business owners thrive and feel proud of what they’re building.

Founder and Owner of Chickbook Creative, I’ve gained years of career experience in systems, processes, accountability, leadership, and project management. I bring a multi-faceted approach to problem-solving and extensive knowledge of executive functioning, habit formation, and the neurodiverse and ADHD entrepreneur’s mind.

I see and understand the ADHD entrepreneur brain at work, and I'm passionate about supporting neurodivergent business owners in a way that lets them shine their light and bring their gifts to the world for all to see (and pay them for!).
